Profilaxis
Tanto las guías NICE y la AAP no recomiendan el uso rutinario de antibióticos profilácticos,
incluso en niños con RVU. Sin embargo, en los estudios serios no se incluyeron pacientes con RVU
grado V. Por tanto, se recomienda en:
- Diagnóstico antenatal de anomalía vía urinaria mientras completa estudio.
- RVU IV-V.
- ITU recurrente.
- Disfunción vesical, mientras mejora patrón miccional.
